Carbon capture / balance schemes
Paper is one of the few truly sustainable products, it is recycled on average 3.5 times a year in Europe and 4x more trees are planted than harvested!
Through a continued commitment to reduce our impact on the earth we support both the Woodland Trust’s Carbon Capture and World Land Trust Carbon Balanced Paper schemes. In the last 2 years we have neutralised 54,714kg of carbon dioxide and planted & protected 20,489m2 of new woodland in the UK and critically threatened forests globally – view our current certificate here
Biodegradable, recyclable and recycled paper
Our paper is sourced from mills certified to FSC (Forest Stewardship Council®) standards. The FSC is an international, non-governmental organisation dedicated to promoting responsible management of the world’s forests. Most of our paper stocks are biodegradable or recyclable and we can provide papers made from high content to 100% recycled materials. We also reduce our waste by managing stock carefully and all surplus is recycled.
Two Sides
When it comes to the sustainability of print and paper, it is important to separate the facts from the myths. The European paper industry is a world leader when it comes to sustainably sourced raw materials, renewable energy and recycling rates. Yet the myths around paper are still prevalent amongst consumers from “European forests are shrinking” to “Only recycled paper should be used”, Two Sides have explored nine popular myths.
